The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) works to ensure a safe, secure, and respectful working environment for every employee and student, and to provide a fair, confidential mechanism for addressing concerns of sexual harassment at the workplace.

Statutory Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Dr. S. C. Gulhane Prerna College of Management and Technology is a statutory committee established under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act).

The primary purpose of the ICC is to ensure a safe, secure, and respectful working environment for employees and students by preventing and addressing incidents of sexual harassment at the workplace. The Committee promotes awareness about gender equality, dignity, and ethical behavior while providing a fair and confidential grievance redressal mechanism.

  • To prevent sexual harassment at the workplace through awareness and education
  • To provide a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for employees and students
  • To create awareness regarding rights and responsibilities under the POSH Act, 2013
  • To encourage individuals to report incidents without fear of retaliation
  • To ensure timely, fair, and impartial inquiry into complaints
  • To recommend appropriate disciplinary actions based on the findings
  • To maintain confidentiality throughout the complaint and inquiry process

Functions of the Cell
  • Receive complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace
  • Conduct preliminary assessment and formal inquiry as per the POSH Act
  • Ensure a fair, unbiased, and confidential investigation process
  • Recommend suitable disciplinary or corrective actions to the management
  • Organize awareness programs, workshops, seminars, and orientation sessions
  • Promote gender sensitization and respectful workplace behavior
  • Maintain records of complaints, inquiries, and actions taken
  • Submit annual reports to the management and statutory authorities, as applicable
  • Monitor compliance with the provisions of the POSH Act, 2013

Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Complaints may be submitted:

  • In writing to the Presiding Officer or any ICC member, or through the online complaint form (Google Form)
  • Through the official institutional email designated for ICC complaints: REPLACE_WITH_ICC_EMAIL@yourcollege.edu
  • By submitting a signed complaint letter to the ICC office, or calling the Presiding Officer at 9604316473

The identity of the complainant, respondent, witnesses, and all inquiry proceedings shall remain strictly confidential. The ICC maintains proper documentation of complaints, inquiry proceedings, recommendations, and actions taken. An Annual Report is prepared and submitted to the institution's management and the appropriate authority, as required under the POSH Act, 2013.
