Women Grievance Cell
The Women Grievance Cell (WGC) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for women on campus — promoting gender equality, dignity, awareness, and empowerment.
The Women Grievance Cell (WGC) of Dr. S. C. Gulhane Prerna College of Management and Technology has been established to address grievances, concerns, and issues faced by women students and staff members. The Cell is committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for women on the campus. It also works towards promoting gender equality, dignity, awareness, and empowerment.
The Women Grievance Cell functions in coordination with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and other statutory and appropriate authorities of the institution to ensure effective and timely resolution of grievances.
- ✦To provide a safe and accessible platform for women students and staff to report their grievances and concerns
- ✦To ensure the prompt, fair, and appropriate redressal of complaints
- ✦To create awareness among women regarding their rights, safety, and legal protections
- ✦To promote gender sensitization, equality, dignity, and empowerment
- ✦To prevent discrimination, harassment, and any form of unfair treatment against women
- ✦To foster a campus environment based on mutual respect, equality, and inclusiveness
- ✦To receive and consider grievances submitted by women students and staff members
- ✦To examine complaints relating to safety, discrimination, harassment, and other concerns affecting women
- ✦To provide appropriate counselling, guidance, and support to complainants
- ✦To recommend suitable measures and necessary action to the Principal and Management, wherever required
- ✦To organize awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, and activities related to women's rights, safety, empowerment, and gender sensitization
- ✦To maintain confidentiality of complaints and ensure the proper documentation and maintenance of relevant records
- ✦To coordinate with the Internal Complaints Committee and other concerned authorities whenever necessary for the effective resolution of complaints
The Women Grievance Cell may address grievances and concerns relating to:
- ✦Gender-based discrimination or unequal treatment
- ✦Harassment or inappropriate behaviour, other than matters specifically falling under sexual harassment procedures
- ✦Safety and security concerns affecting women students and staff
- ✦Academic, administrative, or institutional issues that particularly affect women
- ✦Any other grievance or concern related to the dignity, equality, safety, and well-being of women on the campus
Women students and staff members may submit their grievances through any of the following channels:
- ✦Online Submission: through the designated Google Form provided by the institution
- ✦Written Application: submitted to the Chairperson of the Women Grievance Cell
- ✦Email: Grievances may be communicated through the official email address of the Women Grievance Cell.
All complaints received by the Cell will be handled with due sensitivity, confidentiality, fairness, and in accordance with the applicable institutional rules and procedures. The Cell will take appropriate steps to facilitate timely redressal and, wherever necessary, refer the matter to the competent authority or statutory committee for further action.
